Are you passionate about empowering Aboriginal individuals, families and communities through culturally responsive care, counselling, and community development?
Uniting Communities is seeking a Social and Emotional Wellbeing Worker to join our Alcohol and Other Drug (AOD) team within Aboriginal Community Connect in Adelaide.
As a key team member, you will deliver culturally appropriate case management, counselling, early intervention group work, and health promotion projects that support social and emotional wellbeing. You will build meaningful relationships and work in partnership with Aboriginal communities, stakeholders, and services to achieve lasting outcomes.
Key responsibilities include:

Deliver high-quality counselling and case management to Aboriginal individuals and families

Develop and lead early intervention group sessions and health promotion initiatives

Support clients experiencing AOD misuse, trauma, or homelessness with tailored, culturally respectful care

Build and maintain strong connections with local community organisations and service providers

Contribute to program planning and community co-design
What we’re looking for:

Qualifications in Social Work, Community Services, Counselling, or similar

Experience working with Aboriginal people, families and communities
-
Knowledge of culturally safe counselling practices and therapeutic approaches
-
Strong teamwork, communication and administrative skills
-
A current driver’s licence and willingness to work across locations as needed
