Lead meaningful change in the AOD sector while supporting and mentoring a passionate multidisciplinary team.
At Uniting Communities, we believe in creating a compassionate and inclusive community where people can thrive. We are seeking an experienced and values-driven Senior Practitioner to join our New ROADS team, supporting individuals and families impacted by alcohol and other drug use.
This leadership role combines clinical expertise, coaching, operational oversight and stakeholder engagement across metropolitan and regional South Australia. You will play a key role in strengthening service delivery, mentoring frontline practitioners and driving positive outcomes for clients and communities.
About the Role
As the Senior Practitioner, you will:
- Provide clinical leadership, coaching and mentoring to counsellors and case managers
- Support service quality through case reviews, file audits and observational coaching
- Lead and facilitate team meetings, supervision and continuous improvement initiatives
- Manage rosters, workloads and site coordination activities
- Build strong stakeholder relationships across the sector
- Deliver direct client support for complex cases where required
About You
You are a collaborative and experienced practitioner with strong leadership capability and a passion for supporting people through recovery and positive change.
You will bring:
- Tertiary qualifications in Social Work, Psychology, Behavioural Sciences or similar
- Strong experience within AOD, mental health, homelessness or complex case work
- Demonstrated experience coaching, mentoring and leading teams
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- A culturally respectful and client-centred approach
- Full unrestricted South Australian Driver’s Licence
