As a Senior Full Stack Engineer at Uniting Communities, you deliver business outcomes through the design, development, and ongoing improvement of software, integrations, and data products. Translating business needs into technical solutions, you will shape engineering standards, and lift the capability of those around you.
Success in this role means delivering across four accountabilities:
· Full-stack solution delivery
· Data platform and analytics delivery
· Technical standards and engineering quality
· Technical capability and stakeholder enablement
Day to day, you work across platform integrations, API development, data initiatives, and website and intranet development, collaborating with the team through sprint ceremonies and translating requirements into changes that deliver real business value.
What you'll be doing:
- Shape, document and champion engineering best practices across the team.
- Deliver production-ready software features and integrations that meet defined acceptance criteria.
- Design and deliver platform integrations using API-first and event-driven approaches.
- Own the design and delivery of key data platform components.
- Contribute to the target-state data architecture by leading design decisions in assigned domains.
- Design and implement data models that support analytical and operational workloads.
- Evaluate and adopt modern data stack tooling.
- Provide technical leadership to the team while owning the technical delivery of assigned workstreams or epics.
What you'll bring:
- Relevant post-secondary qualifications or equivalent industry certifications, training and experience.
- 3-5+ years of professional experience in full-stack software development within an enterprise or organisational IT environment.
- Experience working in agile delivery teams using Scrum or Kanban methodologies.
- Deep understanding of the software development lifecycle.
- MS SQL database development and administration including SSRS and SSIS experience.
- Experience working within the Microsoft Azure ecosystem, including Azure DevOps, Azure Functions, or Azure Data Factory. Working knowledge of the Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate).
- Data architecture experience.
- Experience integrating AI/LLM APIs and working with AI-assisted development tools (e.g. GitHub Copilot, Claude).
