Become an integral part of our dedicated team at Chrysalis, a Forensic Mental Health Service, as a Mental Health Support Worker. We offer both Casual and Permanent Part-Time positions and recognise that many applicants are balancing study or other life commitments. While we are committed to providing flexibility, we are particularly seeking candidates who can offer broad availability and work a variety of shifts across our 24/7 roster .

About The Role
As a Mental Health Support Worker, you will be an integral part of our team, ensuring the day-to-day support and engagement of Chrysalis residents. Your role involves assisting residents with psychosocial supports, fostering independent living skills, and overseeing social and recreational activities in a recovery-oriented and trauma-informed manner.
Key Duties & Responsibilities

Provide professional support for individuals with mental illness, intellectual disability, or acquired brain injury.

Implement Recovery-Orientated practices.

Deliver trauma-informed service delivery.

Support medication administration .

Work within a 24/7 roster, including weekends and public holidays - Mornings, Afternoons and Nights flexibility required
Qualifications and Requirements:

Certificate 4 in Mental Health or equivalent tertiary qualification.
OR -
Currently undertaking a Bachelor of Social Work, Psychology, or equivalent.

Full, unrestricted South Australian Driver’s License.

First Aid and CPR certificate.

National Police Certificate.

DHS Vulnerable Person Related Employment Check, DHS Aged Care Employment Check, DHS Disability Employment Check, or DHS Working with Children Check.
