Our Family Relationship Centre provides services to strengthen family relationships, help families stay together and assist families through separation across the outer southern region of Adelaide including Christies Beach, Marion, Aldinga, Kangaroo Island and Victor Harbour.
For this role, you will need to be a qualified Family Dispute Resolution (FDR) Practitioner able to work with our team of highly skilled and dedicated practitioners providing FDR to separating couples by assisting to resolve issues in dispute such as parenting arrangements, property settlements and developing parenting plans.
Your responsibilities include providing conflict resolution, parent education, a framework for negotiation, undertaking assessments and mediation.
In your role you will
- Provide case management, correspondence, and data reporting efficiently.
- Facilitate mediation sessions based on the family dispute resolution framework and legal requirements for children and property matters.
- Undertake comprehensive assessments on potential issues such as family and domestic violence and child abuse, making appropriate referrals
- Conduct intake and assessment interviews with separating or separated parents, grandparents, or other significant individuals in a child's life.
About You
- Accreditation as a Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner or eligibility for registration with the Attorney General’s Department
- Hold a degree in Social Work, Behavioural Science, Law, or equivalent.
- Experience in engaging sensitively with families and complex issues.
- Possess competent interpersonal, administrative, and data reporting skills.
