About the Role: 

Work as part of a collaborative team to deliver the Ruby's Reunification Program by: engaging with young people and their families with a therapeutic, strengths-based approach; providing a caring, supportive environment for young people; and encouraging young people to engage with the community. 

You will actively and positively engage with young people and their families who are experiencing high degrees of conflict causing the young person to be at risk of homelessness or homeless.

About You:

  • Cert IV in Youth Work or equivalent, or willingness and ability to undertake the training within 12 months of commencing

  • Experience working with you people and families and knowledge of adolescent development

  • Experience dealing with conflict and crisis

  • Hold and maintain a full, unrestricted South Australian Driver’s License

You will also demonstrate a positive and professional "can-do" attitude, excellent verbal communication skills with the ability to multi task in a busy environment. If you feel that you are well organised and have a strong ethical customer service approach then please apply.

Vaccination Requirements

COVID-19 vaccination is an essential requirement under the Emergency Management (Healthcare Setting Workers Vaccination) (COVID-19) Directions 2021 to work in a SA Health/health care setting.

About the Remuneration

This role is remunerated at the Uniting Communities General Staff Agreement, Youth Worker – Level 1 to 2 and dependent on previous experience and qualifications.
