Uniting Communities is seeking a Payroll Officer to join our People & Culture team on a fixed-term contract. Reporting to the Payroll Specialist, you will play a key role in delivering end-to-end payroll services for a large and diverse workforce, while providing outstanding customer service and payroll advice to employees and leaders across the organisation.
What You'll Be Doing
- Process fortnightly payroll activities accurately and on time.
- Manage employee payroll transactions, allowances, entitlements, terminations and manual payments.
- Respond to payroll enquiries and provide exceptional customer service.
- Support payroll reporting, data integrity and compliance activities.
- Collaborate closely with Payroll and People & Culture teams to deliver efficient payroll outcomes.

About You
You are a detail-oriented payroll professional who enjoys working in a collaborative environment and takes pride in delivering accurate results. You will bring:
- Previous payroll experience in a medium to large organisation.
- Strong understanding of payroll systems and processes.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Sound Microsoft Office skills, including Excel.
