Join Our Growing Team as a Registered Nurse at New ROADS in Mount Gambier!
Are you ready for an exhilarating opportunity with New ROADS in Mount Gambier? Be part of our team of professionals dedicated to supporting individuals affected by Alcohol and Other Drugs (AOD).
In this full time position as a Registered Nurse at New ROADS, you'll play a pivotal role in our multidisciplinary team, providing integrated and comprehensive treatment to individuals and families combating problematic Alcohol and Other Drug (AOD) use in the community.
Your responsibilities will involve:
- Delivering comprehensive medical care management, including In-Home withdrawal/detoxification support.
- Collaborating with clients' GPs to implement care instructions.
- Conducting psychosocial and detox assessments, care planning, implementation, and evaluation.
- Overseeing medication administration within legal standards.
- Providing health screenings and valuable AOD and general health education.
- Facilitating client referrals to other health programs, counselling, advocacy services, and specialist healthcare.
About You:
You will be a Registered Nurse with a proven track record in a community setting, holding AHPRA Registration. You will have previous experience in the Alcohol and Other Drugs (AOD) services field, coupled with a strong familiarity with substance use and treatment protocols
- Exceptional ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Proficient in working both independently in the community and as part of a team.
- Trauma-Informed: Knowledge of trauma's impacts and a trauma-informed approach.
