People and Culture Adviser

At Uniting Communities, we are passionate about building a compassionate, inclusive society. We’re looking for a part-time People and Culture Adviser (3 days/week) to join our team and provide high-quality HR advice and support across the organisation.

In this role, you’ll work closely with leaders and staff to deliver effective human resources services across recruitment, performance management, workplace change, and employee relations. You will also contribute to HR projects, system improvements, and policies while modelling our values of Kind, Bold and Genuine.

This role offers the opportunity to develop your HR expertise in a supportive environment while making a real difference in the community.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Provide HR advice and support across recruitment, performance reviews, grievances, and workplace change.

  • Maintain HR systems, records, and documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance.

  • Contribute to HR projects, policy development, and continuous improvement initiatives.

What we’re looking for:

  • Qualification in Human Resources, Business Administration, or equivalent experience.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build trust and rapport.

  • Previous HR or business administration experience and confidence working in a team.

  • A proactive, ethical, and customer-focused approach to work.
