We have multiple exciting opportunities for an Occupational Therapist to join our growing community team.

We have multiple roles available at both our Prospect Clinic and Christies Beach office. You will have the opportunity to work in the community to help older people stay safe in their home environment. Our growing clinical team has a strong focus on quality clinical care and continuous professional development. The team is in a fantastic position to welcome an experienced therapist or help support a new graduate with their development

In your role you will:

• Perform Home Safety Assessments for our clients aged 65 years and older, including making recommendations for home modifications and equipment prescription to support your client’s independence.
• Conduct group services, including arthritic hand groups and our cognitive stimulation programs.
• Work in a 1:1 client rehabilitation setting with clients needing upper limb and cognition-based therapies.
• Participate in weekly Occupational Therapist meetings designed to aid development and assist with knowledge sharing. Participate in monthly Multidisciplinary team meetings designed to share ideas for service improvement and implementation.
• Mentor: For experienced OTs there is an opportunity to mentor University students during placements.
• Have Opportunity to be involved in our Beyond Carbon Neutral and Staff Wellbeing committee which spans across the organization.
• Have Opportunity for further career development through our CPD program including CPD allowance for external CPD courses, mentoring programs, and leadership training pathways.

About You
We are looking for someone with a passion for working with older people to help them achieve their goals and maintain their independence.

The successful candidate(s) will have:
• Current Occupational Therapy registration with AHPRA
• A passion for working within the community
• Experience working in the Aged Care environment (not essential for the right candidate)
• Full Drivers licence
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Attention to detail and good time management skills.
• An appetite for continuous improvement and professional development
