We are seeking a dedicated Community Case Manager to join our Settlement Engagement and Transition Support (SETS) program. This unique role combines community engagement activities with case management providing both direct support to individuals and families, and building capacity across communities.

About the role

In this role, you will:

  • Lead and deliver community engagement activities, that support individuals, families, and community groups to strengthen social, educational, and economic participation.
  • Facilitate community led information sessions, community education programs, and capacity-building workshops with community members, leaders and stakeholders.
  • Build strong partnerships with local organisations to enhance service access and community connections.
  • Provide case management support to newly arrived humanitarian entrants and vulnerable migrants, including assessment, planning, and referral to essential services.
  • Support clients to navigate cultural transitions, advocate on their behalf when needed, and encourage meaningful community engagement.

About you

You will bring:

  • Experience in community engagement activities, particularly with diverse or newly arrived communities.
  • Skills in case management, assessment, and referral pathways.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage people from a variety of cultural backgrounds.
  • Strong organisational and facilitation skills, with confidence in delivering group education sessions.
  • A tertiary qualification in Social Work, Community Services, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).
  • A current Driver’s Licence, Working with Children Check, and National Police Check.
